More: Leo was born on the day our last dog was put down. He was a birthday gift for my son who is a Leo, because my son felt safe having a dog nearby. My son is going blind. Leo has been by his side for everything and their bond together is one of my favorite things to see. Leo was hit by a car when he was 3 months old because he got away from my son. His leg was broken and my son couldn't tell what type of car or color of vehicle it was due to his eye disease. It was a hard lesson to learn for us all. Leo has attended dog parks around the city and lake around the state since birth. He has never met a stranger and he is well loved by all who meet him. Human and animals. We can't say enough wonderful things about him. He once found a bunny den in his yard. He carefully took the babies out and was very gentle with each one. We put them all back and walked him for 6 weeks until they grew up and moved on from his yard. He still checks that hole every week looking for his bunny friends. I never wanted this breed of dog, but I cannot imagine our lives now, without him.
