More: Lucas Lumos was an exceptional dog. He came to me at 8 months old and we soon learned he had fear aggression, to the point it was suggested that he be put down. That was not an option. With a lot of hard work, training, patience, love and letting him know he was in his forever home, secure & safe he became a wonderful dog. He was very smart, loved learning, had a goofy sense of humor and loved every other dog, person and even cats that he met, although the cats did scare him some, lol. I miss him every single day and am honored that he chose me as his favorite person. All the work a person can do to guide a dog to be a good member of "The Nation Within" and to let a dog know they are loved and safe is never wasted. Luke is proof, and he worked the hardest. I had 13 years with him, minus those first 8 months. I treasure every moment I had with him. Carole T.
