More: Lucy is a Llewellin Setter with an exceptionally powerful nose - often picking up the scent of quail from 50+ yards away. She has been professionally trained so when pointing her birds she will hold the point for however long it takes me to get to her. I taught her 1 time how to honor another dogs point and from that lesson forward she will automatically slam into a point as soon as she sees another dog or her brace mate on point. Lucy recently completed her training with learning “the trained retrieve “ and now retrieves like a champion .
