More: We rescued Lucy from a Georgia shelter. She had five babies in her belly. We had no idea. Not until the day she was ready to give birth. She gave birth to her five babies all alone. I tried to stay with her, but she wanted to do it on her own. She was the best Mom! She let me handle all of her puppies and we raised them together. It was the best experience of my life. Needless to say...we had Lucy spayed as soon as we could! All five of her puppies were placed with perfect homes and we are in touch with them on a regular basis.
