More: Maddie, like most Vizslas, is a velcro dog who anticipates eagerly our frequent hikes in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains outside of Santa Fe. When not hiking, she competes in agility, sleeps with our cats and greets everyone with a hug. Last year when I had a hiking accident (broken ankle), she stayed at my side for the nine hours without a whimper until search and rescue were able to reach us. My second Vizsla-she is, in fact a full half-sister to my first, Maggie.
