More: Maggie is a true fighter. She recently just reached 1 year since she went into emergency surgery to have a tumor in her spleen removed. Prior to the surgery she was given between 1-3 months to live before it would have ruptured. The vet that performed the surgery told us that Maggie was the first dog he operated on whose spleen had not ruptured prior to or during surgery and to survive. He even told us that after surgery that night she was up and walking around as if she never even had a soccer ball sized tumor removed.
