More: Mango did pass away in May 2020. This was taken in June 2013 when we went backpacking. We hiked up to Red Deer Lake in the Indian Peak Wilderness and there was still snow on the ground. We were in the National Forest, so it was OK that she was off leash. I knew this was glacier water & very, very cold but before I could stop her, Mango jumped into the water. This is Mango waiting for me to throw her a stick to fetch. This is one of my favorite pictures of her because this backpack trip was such a great memory. I froze sleeping at night but Mango laid by me all night, helping to try to keep me as warm as possible.
