More: I saw Marlie’s face on a rescue dog Facebook page that I was connected to by my sister who lives in Kingsville, Tx and does a lot of work with foster/rescue dogs near the border. She was being taken to a shelter with a three day limit before euthanasia. There is a huge crisis there in regards to stray dogs and many are euthanized everyday. I knew I needed to save her! Long story short, we did! I flew to Texas, rented a car and hit the open road with my new sidekick all the way home to Kentucky! She is a fantastic dog and is really learning to trust, love, play, snuggle and we are so blessed to have her!
