More: Marty has lived a life most people can only dream of! A trained and certified avalanche rescue dog, Marty spent her winters working in the mountains of Utah and her summers as a sidekick fishing guide in Montana, where she enjoyed roaming the wide open spaces and freestone rivers, which she preferred for the swimming more than the fishing. Named for the first female ski patroller to work at her ski resort, Marty worked for a decade before injuring both of her knees. Since retiring, she continues to spend as much time outside as she can, spreading her resilience and gentle, loving enthusiasm to everyone she encounters.
