More: Maya was born in rescue where her stray pregnant mama was brought in. We brought her home at 8 weeks old. Although she never had to endure life on the streets, she had fears and was unable to walk for more than a few houses before becoming too afraid to continue. With persistence and practice she now loves her daily walks and hiking through the woods is her favorite activity.
