More: Maynard was rescued at 14 weeks old from the shelter with parvo, giardia and kennel cough. Which progressed to pneumonia due to his immune system being weakened by the parvo. We nursed him back to health and he became a super energetic lovable pup a few months later. He also came down with salmon poisoning a few years later after putting a trout in his mouth. Now he is 13 years old, living his best life playing fetch all day.
