More: Our dog was one of 8 puppies in a litter to survive, when their mother (our friend's dog Kea) passed away unexpectedly from cancer when they were 2 weeks old. A lot of extra love went into bottle feeding the pups and making sure they got the care their mother would have given them! All 8 puppies were adopted in our friend group and we frequently get together for puppy play dates.
