Minuit

Minuit on point for trout on the East Fork of the French Broad river in Rosman, NC

More: One of the sliver linings of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the opportunity for me and my cobalt black English Cocker spaniel, Minuit (French for "midnight ") to explore the fly fishing opportunities in hundreds of miles of rivers in the mountains of western North Carolina. Spaniels are well known for their flusing and retrieving capabilities in the field. What I didn't know is those capabilities also extend to the stream. Minuit has a unique ability to find wild rainbow, brown and brook trout lairs, those seams and ledges that trout occupy while waiting for their meals to float by. Besides being my best friend, she's truly a field AND stream dog!
