More: We adopted our husky, Zelda, when she was 1 and 1/2 years old. She was found on a highway, very pregnant. She had a difficult delivery and finally was rushed to have a c-section to save the last two pups in her litter. When we met her she was afraid of everyone. She has come a long way to being a happy, relaxed, playful dog. Three months later we fostered and then adopted 3 pound Molly. It was love at first sight, for all of us. At first Zelda mothered Molly. Now that Molly is 3 months old and 11 pounds, they are more like sisters. We think it’s the beginning of a wonderful friendship. (Again, for all of us!)
