More: Mookie had a tough start in life, but leads a wonderful life now. He was raised in a hoarder’s house where he was one of 30 dogs or so. He and the other dogs were taken by animal control officials in Montgomery, Texas in July of 2018 when the hoarders had their electricity shut off — and of course had no air conditioning. He was pulled from the shelter by a rescue group, and I adopted him. Now he leads a wonderful life of long walks and hikes and napping.
