More: This picture is in Crested Butte, CO where we go every summer and one of the dogs' favorite places. The Slate River winds through this area and provides lots of great places for dogs to run through the water and swim. This spot provided a perfect launching area for them to jump into the river after rocks and sticks. Nesta is the younger one jumping in the river and Ziggy is looking on at him. Ziggy was 12 in this photo and it was his last trip to Crested Butte as we lost him to cancer two months later. True to their breed - they are and were water lovers to their core and spent so many hours in this river.
