More: Newport (also known as Muppet, Mupp, Muppy Moo) is a 138 pound lap dog with grinchy paws. He squeaks when he yawns, prances proudly whenever he finds a stick that’s twice his size, and would live outside in the snow during our Wisconsin winters if we would let him. He’s happiest when bounding in fresh snow, chewing on bones, and going on long hikes - the steeper the terrain the better (a true mountain dog). He loves meeting new friends and always makes sure the person or dog across the street, behind us, or in front of us is aware of his presence by willing them over for pets or a romp in the grass. His personality shines as bright as his smile (big cheeks included) and his eyes are those of a wise old soul. He brings a smile to everyone he meets followed by “wow what a big head!” more times than not. Newport is a commander of attention, a giant pup with an even bigger heart, and loves to give circus bear hugs.
