More: Niko was a great dog. My first dog and I got him when he was 8 weeks old. He was diagnosed at 10 years with hemangiosarcoma of the spleen - common in German Shepherd Dogs. Because the survival rate is not good, we opted for pallitive care. He only lived for another two weeks. I still miss him.
