More: Oakley was a rescue that was found in far northern North Dakota, living under a car, along with several other puppies. He had some frostbite and ultimately lost most of his tail. We had just lost our 11 year old golden retriever/Australian shepherd to cancer and needed a new playmate for our 4 year old golden who was desperately missing his buddy. Oakley is high energy but loves to snuggle with us on the couch.
