Ozzy

Ozzy

More: Ozzy was purchased and given to me for an early Christmas present by my ex-husband, Dan to provide me with a companion and an ESA (emotional support animal) Approximately 1 year after we had divorced, I met a seemingly charming and honorable man. Within 2 months he started getting violent with me and over that next year the violence became more and more severe. I tallied up multiple broken bones, brain trauma from repeated concussions as well as from lack of oxygen r/t countless incodents of being strangled...most often while dangling mid-air, and leading to unconsciousness. My Survival date is 12/31/2018, and it has been a very slow recovery. My Doc, my counselor, my case manager, they all said that I would never be able to work and that I would most likely never again be able to function in any public setting, or other places that require human contact. I completed physical therapy this past July and am walking now with only minor pain, and without hardly any difficulty at all. I also, within the last 2 months, have attempted to enter walmart and grocery store by myself, as I usually require the assistance of my case manager to keep me calm and remind me of items that I may need...etc I have done this, successfully, approx. 5-6 times!! 😁 Long story short..I had to leave the area where my monster resides and have been living all alone, with no family and no friends to speak of. I get extremely lonely and depressed, dwelling on the past abuse, and the reality of all that lead me to this day and how long and scary this process has been. Dan also helps me with the financial burden that is required owning a pet, as I have been awaiting a decision from Disability and have had zero income since 12/2021. God Bless Dan for this amazing gift he has given to me. I cannot express the joy that Ozzu has already brought to my life. He never leaves my side and if I get emotional he is quick to comfort me.
