More: Pearlie was mistreated and then abandoned during Hurricane Matthew, at four months old. We adopted her and found her a challenge due to energy, lack of training and mischievous intelligence. With time and work she is a loving, loyal family member, adopting two puppies that followed her into our family as her own and demonstrating total devotion. She is still a little mischievous, but that's her and that's okay.
