More: On December 29, 2021 Penny had her front left leg amputated because of bone cancer. Being a tripaw doesn't slow her down. Before surgery she was a therapy dog at a local elementary school--the 2nd graders practiced their reading skills by reading to her every week. She went back to school to be with "her kids" 2 months after her surgery. I don't know who's happier--her or the students. She is one resilient girl!
