Penny

You can't stop me!

More: Penny was adopted as a puppy from a shelter. When it was discovered that she had a cancerous tumor in her left front leg, her owner did not want to deal with her, and Penny was surrendered to Pets with Disabilities. PWD had her leg removed, but her prognosis was poor. An elderly lady adopted her, and Penny had a happy home until this lady died of cancer. So, at 4yrs old, Penny was returned to PWD. Now she is cancer free and my dog. Although she only has three legs, Penny runs, can jump on the couch, bed and in the car. My three 4-year-old grandchildren never noticed she only had three legs, to them she was just Grammie’s cute little white dog! If only, like children, we could see all animals and people not for their disabilities, but for the joy they bring to our lives.
