More: Pepper is a shelter dog. We got her when she was about 6 months old. My husband made 2 trips to the shelter looking and both times when she saw him, she came to the front of her cage and placed her head against the wire for him to pet her and she stole his heart. She was very shy when she came home but has blossomed into a beautiful, loyal and loving companion.
