More: My dog pepper is a rescue dog but not in the typical sense. We got her from a young girl whose boyfriend got her a puppy for a gift. That gift was way too much work and was too time consuming for a young person to try and take care of while working full time. I offered to take in pepper and bring her home to my family. She has grown up with my kids and has been our entire family’s best friend ever since!
