The day my daughter and I picked her up, Pepper grabbed one of her stuffies and we walked to the van. When we arrived at the meeting site, I put on Pepper’s leash, and we walked across the parking lot. After making small talk for a few minutes, the woman asked me if Pepper was my first Newfoundland. After I said yes, she asked me if Pepper had grabbed a toy when she was coming to the meeting. She described a brown “teddy bear kind of thing”. I got goosebumps as she told me that was her vision. A black Newf carrying a brown toy to meet the new puppy. When we got back to the van, I checked the back. The toy Pepper had grabbed was Chewbacca. It gave me chills and my daughter and I named the new puppy Wóȟeyaka which is Lakota for a gift presented to a healer (I am a physician assistant)
