More: Phyllis was abused and neglected from a young age and my wife and I rescued her as a 5 month puppy. She had a stipulation where she could only go to a household with an older confident dog present, and our 10 year old fit the bill. She was a difficult dog at first and we all struggled to find our fit. However, after months of working together she finally came around and turned out to be a pleasure to love and a great worker. She loves keeping kritters out of the yard and rounding up her older sister, Rigby. She enjoys daily walks on the beach or in the woods, and we wouldn’t trade her for the world.
