More: I adopted Piper about 6 years ago from a local kill shelter. She was scheduled to be put to sleep the day I adopted her. She went to college with me and is currently in training to become a certified emotional support dog. She loves to cuddle and has loves to make people feel better. I’m currently going to nursing school and our plan is for me to become a hospice nurse so Piper can attend work with me to help comfort patients and their family.
