Poppy (Popponesset) (Wampanaug word/ beach where we live)

Can’t get enough snow!

More: Poppy is the ultimate cape cod, Ma adventure dog!! She loves to play with her human family on the beach and boat and just about everywhere!! Poppy runs wide open on the beach darting in and out of waves! Easily navigates jetties and runs around our 32ft boat; racing from the bow to jumping off the swim platform and splashing into the water! She is a high speed & agile girl; don’t blink you might miss her. She spent ten days aboard our boat with us this summer and looked on curiously as my husband fished and I raked up quahogs and was never far from our four year old son crabbing in the creek! Poppy loves hiking the trails all over cape cod and listening to and smelling new wildlife. At 5 months old she finished the Provincetown first light jetty hike which is a breakwater jetty that stretches 1 mile each way!!!! People often mistake her for an Irish wolfhound but she is a German Shepard/ poodle mix- aka Shepadoodle- one of the oldest doodle breeds- 1st bred in 1960 by the us army as a police dog because of speed agility and intelligence. She is an amazing and loving girl! Our family is lucky to have her! I have a million pictures of her- it was hard to choose just one haha. She is 63lbs, predominantly black coat with silver muzzle and ankles and a little tan peeking out under her chin. I have intentions of having her trained as a therapy/ comfort dog. With the $500 if she wins I will put it towards the fee for further training- it has been a dream of mine to share a dogs unconditional love with adults & children that are in need of a caring pet to cuddle at the worst moments of their life or to have a special friend next to them when they reach a milestone. Thanks so much, Be well- Cait Sawyer
