More: Portlyn is a wonderful companion and guard dog all rolled into one. Mostly she is happy to sit guarding her ball until you are ready to throw it to her! We rescued her from the streets of Sacramento,CA when she was just 7weeks old. Our 13 year old dog, Porter ,had passed away just 12 days earlier and we saw this puppy and it looked so much like our old guy that we felt it was some kind of reincarnation miracle! Portlyn is very gentle and never makes any demands... when her water dish is empty she will sit next to it until you notice. Just like in this photo she is patiently waiting for someone to throw her the ball. In our time of sorrow Portlyn was our angel!
