More: Whiskey dislocated her hip at 6 months, chasing a skunk on our farm. She was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. The vet performed surgery. That ended my plans to train her for agility competition. Instead we completed Obedience 1&2, AKC Good Canine Citizenship Award and Therapy Dog Training. She runs, jumps and plays. You would never know she has an artificial hip. She is also protective. She protected me from a dog that was attacking us in an RV park. She really is an exceptional dog and an important part of our family.
