More: River is crazy smart rescue and foster fail, and his job is to train and acclimate the many foster dogs who come and go from our home. He is not overly snuggly, but engaging on his own terms, which involves happy greetings at the door, barking at visitors for attention, pawing at you, and shoving his head between your legs when he wants to feel close. He knows lots of cool tricks and is well trained except when he runs out the front door and plays keep away just so you know who’s in control. His absolute favorite activity is chasing rabbits. When it’s not too hot or too snowy, he loves running outside.
