More: We adopted Rosie in 2011, and as they say in the dog rescue community, she rescued us as much as we rescued her. Our time with her was way too short, but she taught us so much and brought lots of love and joy into our lives at the time we needed it most. Despite having severe anxiety, she was always up for adventures in the great outdoors, where she could be away from the things that scared her and show us her true self. This photo was taken during one such trip, and captures her spirit perfectly. Run free, sweet girl.
