More: It took a while for our beautiful girl, Roux to break out of her shell. Being a rescue from Alabama, she was very shy and it took a while for her to warm up to our friends and family. Through a couple years of obedience training and outdoor adventures, her bright spirit finally broke through and we can't imagine life without her. She loves to play fetch on the beach, catch waves in Lake Michigan, and sniff around the forest preserves of Chicagoland. As we remind her frequently, she's the best dog around.
