Rowdy

Waitin on Daddy

More: This is actually Rowdy 2.0. I had bought one a few weeks earlier and named him Rowdy. He immediately stole my heart. I had him for a few days when I noticed worms in his stool. I immediately took him to the vet and found he had 3 types of worms as well as Parvo. I had to admit him to the vet overnight. They called me the n xt day to tell me he was getting worse. We took him to Auburn University and admitted him. He made it about 1 and a half days before finally passing away. I was devastated to say the least. So small and innocent. It was heartbreaking every time I looked at his photos. I went back to Auburn to pick his dead body up. They handed him to me in a box with his name on it. That was difficult. I took him home and buried him in my parents’ backyard. I was down in the dumps for a few days. Very sad. When I started looking for another puppy I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to take another chance at having to possibility of getting attached again only to lose him to something out of my control. After several days of searching I ran across an ad on the internet of a 6 week old litter available for pickup in 2 weeks. The litter contained 8 pups. 6 were yellow and 2 were basically white. I called the owner and asked if I could go see them. He said yes. Come on! When I drove there I still wasn’t sure if I was ready to commit. But when I saw them it was over. One white was a male and put my deposit on him at that time. 2 weeks couldn’t come fast enough! Finally the day came and I picked up my new pup. He was precious and still is to this day. I was on the fence about naming him Rowdy as well. But I felt like the first Rowdy didn’t get full use of his name. So I decided to name the new puppy Rowdy as well. He’s beautiful and as smart as any dog I’ve ever been around. He’s my right hand man and goes with me just about everywhere! He’s wonderful and makes me smile everyday!
