More: Meet Ruby Boudreau! Ruby was born on a quail hunting camp in Midville, GA. Bred to be a flush dog, Ruby has the natural tendency to find every bird and squirrel on our walks. Her owners work lives are crazy and hunting opportunities have been scarce, even though her dad does have hunting land of his own and grew up with love for the sport. Despite her limited experience, Ruby flushes every bird and chases every squirrel and will run until her legs fall off. She’s very athletic and absolutely loves swimming, as you can see. Ruby has become a glorified house dog and even more, our spoiled daughter. Her favorite snacks are smart pop and dental chews, and she always sleeps snuggled up to her mom in bed; but she was made for this. I am not just a pet owner who thinks their dog is beautiful, as they all should. Ruby has made it on the cover of her daycare’s pamphlet. Several people stop us to comment on her beauty anytime we take her out. I truly think this could be her calling, and Orvis seems like the perfect opportunity for Ruby with her hunting heritage. She is the sweetest and most lovable dog. I know if she could speak, she would be jumping for joy to help with this good cause. As a bonus, she’s only ever eaten Purina Pro Plan. She would be perfect!
