More: Ruger came to us from a neighbors house...climbing the chain link fence when he heard us outside. Our family was in a Cancer battle and he just wanted to be ours..our neighbor didn’t have time for him and we really didn’t want to take on a puppy., he was persistent. He was raised by our two mini Dachshunds - Bridget and Brandy. Ruger is a sweet boy and never meets a stranger..but is protective of his home and camp. Yes...he does think he is a mini- Dachshund on occasion. We wouldn’t trade our decision to bring him into our family!
