More: Scout, 3rd generation of a line Goldens in our family, was my best friend and loyal companion to our family. Work or play we traveled everywhere together. Scout loved the outdoors, especially the water, whether swimming in our pond or a wilderness steam. A typical Golden who always had a happy face, who would wear your arm out chasing tennis balls during the day and sleeping with head in my lap in the evening. Scout lost a valiant fight against cancer this past year shortly after this picture was taken on his 14th birthday outing doing what he loved. Scout lives on in the blood and spirit of his pups who still make our family happy each day.
