More: Sochi is a rescued dog that I found at the shelter in St Joseph MO. She was a tiny little pup, sitting in the back of her kennel. Her story is that she was found down by the Missouri River, starving, weighing only 7 lbs, she also had mange. The shelter staff took great care of her, in some places I’m sure she wouldn’t have made it. They nursed her back to health. I didn’t realize I was supposed to put my name on the back of her card if I wanted to adopt her. The day & time (3pm) came when she was ready to be adopted. I went to the shelter and asked about her. They told me 3 other people had signed her card but none of them showed up. I said I guess she’s meant to be mine. Sochi has been the absolute best dog. She’s smart and travels with my husband & me. We love her very much. This is Sochi’s story.
