More: We adopted Nacho and Soda (AKA “The Littles”) from the Richmond SPCA in June 2019 when they were about 6 or 7 months old. We immediately started taking these two tiny litter mates hiking, paddleboarding, tubing, camping in our pop-up, etc. They’re proof that little dogs (they weigh 20 pounds combined!) can run with the big dogs! I’m the outdoor writer for Cooperative Living Magazine, and The Littles have joined me on every single adventurous story assignment I’ve had, from reviewing state parks to paddleboarding with pups to exploring the Blue Ridge Tunnel. They’ve hiked, swum, and/or paddleboarded in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Michigan, Massachusetts, and more!
