More: Spruce is a rescue dog that I adopted when he was 13 weeks old. He is one of six puppies born to a feral mother inside a tree trunk in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. As a result, all six pups are named after trees, and their names are as follows: Willow, Chestnut, Elmo, Cedar, Maple and Spruce. All are healthy, happy boys who were adopted through the ASAP Animal Support & Placement Rescue, Franklin, Tennessee.
