More: I rescued her the morning she was about to be tossed out on the streets. The Alaskan Malamute Rescue of N C notified me as they had no one of their own to attempt the rescue. I had worked with them as a volunteer. As soon as I heard her story I was on the way and nothing was going to stop me from rescuing her. We had just a few months prior lost our first dog Lady. So when this beautiful girl already named Star came into our life she became my "Bright and Shinning Star" to brighten those dark and long lonely nights without my Lady.
