More: My best friend Stella was a rescue dog that we came across her by chance last summer. My wife and I were in the process of adopting another husky/lab from a couple that was moving but he didn’t seem to click with us and the couple looked reluctant to let him go, so we took a random visit to a local humane society and there she was looking at me with those puppy eyes, the moment we had a meet and greet she immediately came into my lap and snuggled in as if we’ve known each other forever. We had an instant bond that continues today. She loves going on long walks and attempting to capture squirrels, no success yet.
