More: Our beloved Tess was diagnosed with histiocytic sarcoma in early September. She is responding very well to treatment (chemotherapy, prednisone, and lots of love) and in October, accompanied our family on a lake getaway to Michigan from our home in Pennsylvania. She was standing onshore with our other dog as my husband started pedaling away on a pedal boat. She immediately jumped into the water and started swimming toward him! He returned to the dock, and Tess, whose lameness had alerted us to her condition, went running down the dock and immediately jumped onto the boat with him. They had a beautiful excursion around the lake, and we were moved to tears. This photo was taken on that dock. It would be wonderful if Tess could help in the fight against canine cancer!
