More: We adopted Tessa at 8 months from an SPCA in Lancaster, PA. She had been surrendered by a breeder along with her mother because she was born with an angular limb deformity of her hind legs. In her short life, Tessa has undergone two surgeries to straighten her legs (these surgeries were determined to be medically necessary because Tessa also has hip dysplasia) and a surgery to repair a torn ACL. Despite it all, Tessa loves exploring the great outdoors. We spend most of our summers in Maine and Tessa is always eager to explore the beauty of Acadia National Park.
