Titus

Titus is still loving life, even as a tripawd! He's halfway through chemotherapy and showing no signs of slowing down. He's the best dog in the world and we're thankful for every single moment with him!

More: At the beginning of October 2020, Titus developed a severe limp in his hind left leg that pain meds couldn’t touch. He was in so much pain that he wouldn't put any weight on it at all. Unfortunately, we received the devastating diagnosis of osteosarcoma - however, his case was not so far advanced that we couldn't attempt to treat him. So we chose to have his affected leg amputated just a few days later. It was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made, but I’m so glad we did. The road was long and full of tears, late nights, post-op infections and emergency vet visits, but now he’s pain-free and back to living a mostly normal life. He can’t walk as far as he used to and he has some trouble on concrete and hardwood floors, but in the yard he’s still a force to be reckoned with, and overall he makes us feel like nothing has happened. He's the same silly, lovable boy that he always was. He’s almost done with chemo and while he isn’t necessarily cured, we are so thankful every day that we got pretty much the best outcome possible in this terrible situation. We’re trying hard to give him the best life imaginable and help him stay the happy, goofy boy that we love so much.
