Tucker and Hope

Fall Festivities

More: Both Tucker and Hope are rescued Border Collies. Tucker was found in Middle Tennesssee at 6 months old in the woods close to death. He was so happy to see kindness from a human and did not resist his capture because he knew this was a rescue! Tucker has been through many scary medical obstacles in life to include the life threading disease he had to defeat as a puppy, he had cancerous tumors removed, he was diagnosed with a life threading heart condition to include mitral valve prolapse and an enlarged left ventricle, his spleen ruptured and he nearly bled out but survived a life saving surgery with a serious heart condition, and as of late he was diagnosed with cushings disease and is doing great with handing his new treatment! He is one tough dog! Hope is a rescue from East Tennessee Border Collie Rescue! She was threatened to be shot as a puppy if ETCBR did not come rescue her. She was then adopted out to a second home who returned her 11 months later with a pretty serious medical condition as well as a huge mental blockade. The day I took Tucker to meet Hope and myself she was too scared to even come up to me. We waited 3 hours for her to finally warm up to me being near her and to trust me. She feel in love with me a few hours later on our 7 hour car ride home, and the rest is history. She was very nervous around all humans other than myself, but she started to finally trust people again as I helped to build her confidence. She is now the most loving and personable dog! Hope finally is able to live her best life and show off her mad talent when it comes to agility courses, and being the fastest dog at the park! Tucker and Hope are the best of friends and really look after one another!
