Tyler

The most handsome boy

More: Tyler was my heart dog, soulmate, K9 Biathlon partner, unofficial seizure assistance dog, and he brought peace to my soul when life got to be too much. He passed away from unknown causes in December 2020. Tyler was diagnosed and had a large mast cell tumor removed from one of his back legs in 2016. Approximately 1 1/2 months later we did our first K9 Biathlon together in Alabama. He was a total rockstar and you would’ve never known he had recently had a tumor removed from his leg. We did the K9 Biathlon again in 2017 and I’ll always hold those memories close to my heart. Tyler was an amazing Pit Bull ambassador. He opened hearts and changed minds. Tyler was a rescue dog and he was my reason for starting my Bully breed focused 501(c)(3) rescue in 2014. Tyler even visited an elementary school with me, spending time with students from kindergarten to 5th grade, for a school reading program. I was lucky enough to be his mom for most of his life and he saved me as much, if not more so, as I saved him. I always told him, “It’s you and me forever” and now I tell him, “Our forever isn’t over” because I know he’s waiting for me over the rainbow bridge.
