Viola and Jackson Jackman

Farm Dogs at Work

More: Viola came to the farm first, at 9 months old from the streets of the Dominican Republic. She loves farm life; chasing deer out of the vegetable gardens and alerting me to the porcupines in the pear trees. When she looked out the window to see the first snowfall of her first winter she gave a long, low growl. But Viola learned to love walks in the snowy woods and later learned to love the little terrier mix with caramel colored eyes and nose who found his way to the farm from Mississippi. We named him Jackson and together they are the perfect pair to work along side me at Wilder Hill Gardens or relax together on the couch.
