More: We adopted Yogi a week after his leg was amputated due to what was believed to be a car accident. He was terrified of everything. I had to wear welding gloves up to my elbows just to touch him because he was so fearful he would bite. But with love, time, understanding and patience, he slowly began to trust not only us, but strangers. He has taught us so much about resilience and what it means to be a survivor. Everyone gets a kick out of the fact that he "waters the plants" by doing a walking handstand. That's one of the ways he adapted to having three legs. He lives with two hound dogs and a cat and has gone on more vacations then we can count, he goes to work with me, sleeps between my husband and me every night and is one happy little doggie. He's everything.
